will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main
cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their

The ability to get to get to the heart of the matter and extract all of the associated blocks around the issue is key to the success of this treatment.
Why and When Would I see a Practitioner?
Some issues by their very nature involve strong feelings and painful memories. Working with an experienced practitioner will ensure that the session is paced in a way that ensures emotional safety and well-being without resulting in overwhelming levels of emotion. A trained practitioner will be able to ensure that you complete each session in a positive and calm emotional state, even if there is more work to be done later.
There are a set of common reasons for EFT not to work first time, or to achieve partial success but to not clear completely. A practitioner will be familiar with these and know what to do to correct them and make progress.
Some issues are not straightforward. Sometimes the reason for an issue is hidden below the surface and it is helpful to have a practitioner to ask questions and get to the root of what's going on, using the right language and so on.
Compare it to DIY. While there may be many DIY tasks around the home that you feel confident about doing yourself, there will always be some jobs that are too big or too complicated. For these tasks you will be saving time and distress in the long run by getting outside help.
What happens During a Treatment?
The first treatment begins with in depth investigation of the issue that is troubling you. Details of your general health, psychological outlook and life style are also taken into account. The issue may be emotional, psychological or physical. The issue is "mapped out" to include all related aspects so that the problem is removed at a root level. The issues are addressed in order of priority and intensity. It is often the case that the collapse of stress around one key factor can dissolve all the other related issues.
Treatment involves special relaxation techniques, the formulation of statements that sum up the issue for you and tapping special points on the body. The result leaves you feeling peaceful and more in control so the issue no longer bothers you or you can view from a calmer and more detached perspective. EFT can be used to collapse negative beliefs about your self and install more powerful and confident affirmation.
How Many Treatments?
This will depend on the complexity of the issue/issues. Sometimes one is sufficient and other times you will need a series of treatments to clear the issue completely.
