What is Meditation?
Our mind-set influences how we experience life. Mediation is a practice that can influence this mind set, it calms the mind and changes the brain waves to more relaxed levels. A minimum of 20 minutes a day can make a real difference.
What is this meditation practice about and what will I learn?
This is a mediation for empowered well being to help us receive and experience more connectedness, openness, presence, inspiration, enthusiasm, strength and clarity of purpose and joy of living,
We usually begin and end the evening with a personal intention of something we wish to welcome into our life. I incorporate some chi kung movements at the beginning and end of my practice. This is a very powerful healing and energy practice which originates from ancient China.
I find that the inclusion of chi kung (qigong) helps us to become stiller, more aware of the mind/body connection and these movements balance the energy in the body. If you are feeling very stressed they will calm you down, if you feel tired they can give you more energy. I then lead you through a guided meditation which relaxes each part of your body and mind before leading you through an extended visualization that channels the five elemental energies found in nature to restore and balance our own energy system.
You will also learn about posture, breathing techniques and tips you can put into your everyday life, so it becomes part of your way of life.

Improved concentration – A clear mind makes you more productive, creative and responsive and less reactive.

You don’t sweat the small stuff– Do you sometimes allow yourself to get upset by little things? With regular practice you tend to focus less on meaningless things, but see the bigger picture and what is really important to you.

Improved Health – There have been numerous studies pointing to the many health benefits of meditation. Mediation can reduce stress and anxiety which is the common denominator in most illnesses.

Self Awareness– There is nothing more important than getting to know ourselves and through meditation we can gain a better understanding of our life’s purpose and inner motivation.

But I don’t have time To Meditate
Many people like the idea of meditation, but feel they don’t have enough time, yet:
What is more important to you than having a clear mind and a sense of inner peace?
What is the point in being tremendously busy but unable to enjoy it?
Meditation does requires an investment of time, but clearing the mind makes the rest of the day more productive. Meditation is not about retreating from the world; it gives us inspiration. Whatever you do, if you have peace of mind, your work will be more enjoyable and productive.

During the class we explore how mindfulness and meditation enhances every aspect of our life and helps us become clearer, more focused and generally happier. You will learn special visualisations, tools and techniques to bring mindfulness into your life.
