Most people at sometime in their life will feel this way especially if
they have had to go through major life changes and disappointments. The
feelings of depression is often the aftermath of a prolonged period of
stress and upheaval. It can feel as though it will never lift and that
a dark cloud covers everything in your life.
Relying on alcohol, cigarettes or drugs only produce temporary relief and actually make the situation worse. Recognising and acknowledging this is the first step to doing something about it and if you are reading this, you are probably at this stage.
Fortunately there are many things which relieve depression other than prescribed medication. Hypnosis, NLP, energy therapies such as acupuncture and chi kung and meditation, are all highly respected and evidence based.
